Morning Frolick

Short Story:

Early this morning, Ally decided to let Penryn out for a little freedom and exercise before they headed off for their first competition. The morning frolick did both of them some good, giving Ally a chance to unwind and watch the graceful mare release the pent up energy from spending the night in the stall. The morning air was just the right temperature for Ally's cold-blooded nature to be out in the dewy grassy and moist air in shorts and a t-shirt. Spring was in the air. After a winter that didn't ever seem to want to let go.

After spending an hour watching Penryn graze and canter around the pasture, it was time to get ready for the long journey ahead of them, so Ally hopped the fence and headed out to the middle of the field. Penryn trotted over to Ally, knowing that treats and attention were in order, and Ally didn't disappoint. She produced a couple sugar cubes and began to scratch the mare's sweet spots.

On the porch, Joseph, Ally's boyfriend of 2 years watched the 2 interact together in the pasture. Taking the last sip of his coffee, he went back into the house, shrugged into a sweater, and grabbed the camera before heading out to the pasture and snapping some pictures of his girls.

And with that, it was time to get ready for The Big Movie Show! Ally is super excited about the prospect of making new friends, and meeting new people and horses.

*Sorry for the shoddy writing, it will get better. I am just really out of practice. XD


This is essentially my application for The Big Movie Team Show fav.me/d8oejym It will have a background and everything when it's finished. This is just Ally and Penryn getting ready to leave for the event. They are pretty excited about their first competition.

Progress:

*It just needs a pretty background now!

*Shading is Done! Now just mane, tail, and background! Maybe a halter, I haven't decided yet.

*Finished shading Penryn! Now onto Ally

*Colors are blocked in now! Yay! Now onto shading and a background, and details, and hair.

*So I have everything lined how I want it except Ally's face.... Not sure how I am going to do that. >.<

So this is the newest piece I am working on, and I am rather happy with it so far, but I feel like a couple things are off, so I was wondering if someone might be able to help me with critique or redline.
